MVTV is a prestigious riverfront residential Community Title Scheme (CTS) complex located on a riverfront site at the eastern side of Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, approximately 1 kilometre from the Brisbane CBD. The street address is 42 Ferry St, with the main entry to the building located on the Dockside Town Square at the foot of Ferry St.
The complex can also be accessed from the garden gate fronting the riverfront boardwalk, which in turn provides access to the Dockside ferry stop approximately 200 metres to the south.
Design
MVTV was designed by highly-acclaimed residential and resort architect, Des Brooks, and was constructed in 1990 as the cornerstone of the master-planned Dockside Hotel precinct. At the time of their development, Dockside and MVTV established a new quality benchmark for Brisbane apartment / community living.
MVTV extends over 21 levels and comprises 98 tower apartments (including a penthouse and two sub-penthouses) and 8 riverfront villas constructed in an articulated row format across the river-frontage of the site. Of the total of 106 MVTV residences, approximately 70% are owner occupied. Tenanted apartments are let on a long-term rental basis only.
Parking
Resident parking extends over the first three levels of the building. Visitor parking is located in a separate annex basement adjacent to the neighbouring Stradbroke Tower, and is accessed from Darragh St (which runs parallel to Ferry St).
